Birdbath

Crepe myrtle blossoms. No wildlife value but a very popular home landscape tree.

It's very important this time of year to water your birds, every day!

Nuthatch, White-breasted

Not a regular by any means. I happened to be walking out with my camera when he appeared. The multi-shot feature on my camera - takes three every time the shutter button is depressed - is my new bestest friend.

Praying Mantis Egg

I purchased this at a local nursery. According to Google egg is to be kept at a humid 80-90 degrees. Monitor daily as they will eat each other when they emerge.
Distribute individuals around your garden.

Possum nursing (?)

She plopped down in the yard and wouldn't budge, despite the attentions of my dog and my camera. Mothers are great, aren't they?
